How to loss the fat.

By: Mike Walters

Burning the Fat: Fitness eBooks There are many great things about starting an fitness program for your body. One of the greatest things is aerobics, you can use it to burn fat in ways that are easier on your body than dieting. It is very simple to burn fat using aerobics as exercise, because there are many ways that you can train your body to do the work that it is supposed to in order to really get the most out of the aerobics that you are doing. While you are building up a sweat and working on your heart rate, all of your muscles are also getting great things out of the aerobics work that you are doing. As you bring new blood and oxygen to all of your body systems, you are going to find that you are giving yourself the best chance to really get rid of all that unwanted fat as you go along. Working hard to burn fat is something that you can finally take control of when you are doing aerobics on a regular basis. When you body is in constant motion, all of the body systems are working hard to maintain body functions at a normal rate. Because your muscles need to be moving more, your heart is going to have to work harder because the only way to get your muscles to move faster is to supply them with more blood and therefore more oxygen. Because your heart has to work harder your lungs need to work harder to provide your heart with the oxygen that it needs to keep pumping. All of these things are going to work in tandem with each other to make a situation in which you are really getting the most out of your entire work out. When all of these systems are working together, you are going to find that you are much stronger than you think you would be. As your entire body fights to work harder, you are going to find that actually you are burning fat because your body needs energy to keep moving and to stay moving at a certain rate. It will find this energy in the stored pockets of fat that you have in your body. All of these things are going to happen quickly, and you will find that you are going to be much better off as you start to work out using aerobics more often. How to Pick a Low Calorie Diet That Works

How to Pick a Low Calorie Diet That Works - Proven Tips For Fast Fat Loss By Tina Bardo

In this article I'd like to talk about how to pick a low calorie diet that works FAST, without having to jump through bells and hoops to lose weight. The simple truth is that by definition, a low calorie diet SHOULD help you lose weight, right? Well, as many of you have already recognized, often that is simply NOT the case, as your body will quickly hit a plateau once your body retreats into conservation mode. No fun at all, don't you agree? Let's take a look at some options below!

Pick a Program that will endure

I'm going to be honest with you. A lot of my readers have asked about different quick fix programs that force feed you soup, grapefruit and sodium rich broths for fast weight loss. I say STAY away. Why? They simply have NO legs ( fast burn out) NO enduring lifestyle value and most importantly, have VERY high atrophy rates. ( most folks will drop out fast)

Choose a low Calorie Diet That Fits Your Body

If you need to drop 5 pounds, you DON'T need the same calorie restriction as someone else who has more weight to lose. If you are VERY heavy, reducing your calories by 200 a day is simply NOT going to be a viable solution for fast fat loss, whereas someone who is just a slender shred from where they want to be very well may find it does.

Finally, choose a diet that you like and enjoy!

This seems SO foreign to people, yet to me it's the most important part of the choice. You've simply GOT to pick a diet that you enjoy eating, and for me, as many of you know...the Medifast diet was not only low calorie, it felt a little bit like eating desert on my way to a beautiful and bodacious bod! Regardless of what makes sense for you, simply pick a program that tastes good!
Remember - if you HAVEN'T been able to lose weight before...it's NOT your fault! Knowledge is POWER, and the most important step on the path to a beautiful body is information, EDUCATION and empowerment!

So What Do I Recommend? You got it...:-) Medifast!

And really, it's done the same for anyone who has NOT had success on OTHER diet programs! If you've failed with other weight loss regimens, the Medifast weight loss community may be EXACTLY what you are looking for.

2 Weight Loss Plans That Work Fast!

2 Weight Loss Plans That Work Fast! (Without Famine, Exercise Or Exhaustion)By Tina Bardo

In this article we are going to take a look at TWO very different dietary approaches that work in rapid fire turn around time to help YOU lose weight in a hurry! If you are anything like I used to be, not ONLY do you want to lose weight, you want to do it quickly, easily and effortlessly and WITHOUT all of the typical pains associated with getting fit. I'm going to give you 2 very different approaches that I happen to love ( as do many other folks) that not only are reasonably easy, they are super healthy to boot! Read on..:-)

A Juice Fast That Leaves You Full AND Fit!

It's amazing how many people have never heard of juice fasting - but it's the FARTHEST thing from fasting, and can help you get in super shape in record time. ( plus has all kinds of other benefits that you have to experience yourself to understand!) Essentially, when ONLY juices are ingested (preferably fresh) the digestive system can take a break, and your natural restorative powers go into hyper drive, cleaning your bod of all kinds of stored up "stuff" that a real food diet simply won't allow! It's fun, quick and has TREMENDOUS health benefits for anyone open minded enough to give it a go!

The Medifast Diet Program

Ok, a MUCH more mainstream choice that over one MILLION people have used to drop LOTS of weight in a hurry..:-) Medifast tastes great, leaves you feeling FULL at all times and is surprisingly low calorie (only about 1000 calories a day) to boot. If you are someone who has had trouble losing weight on other diets, Medifast is my FAVORITE way of high stepping the hurdles and leap frogging the obstacles that so many other programs put in our way! A proven way to get great results in a hurry for sure!

Who is Medifast a better choice for?
Anyone who has NOT had success on OTHER diet programs! If you've failed with other weight loss regimens, the
Medifast weight loss community may be EXACTLY what you are looking for.

Best Ways to Diet - Common Weight Loss Myths

Dieting Basics 101 - The Best Ways to Diet - Common Weight Loss Myths By Roger Kent

There always seem to be an abundance of weight loss myths around - whether they are sent through email, published in the latest edition of US Weekly, or lurking somewhere on the internet. If you believe these common myths it can usually cause more harm than good. Please read more to find out if any of these common myths have any truth behind them. Keep in mind that the best ways to diet are proven on facts, not a bunch of lies thrown together to try and sell you something. These so called myths defeat the meaning of Dieting Basics!

Myth # 1: I'll lose weight faster if I drastically reduce calories

FACT: If you were to extremely reduce the amount of food you eat, you actually send your body into what is called "starvation mode". Your body will think it is starving and automatically wants to maintain your weight - in essence your metabolism will slow down considerably and you will not lose weight.

Myth # 2: My diet will work better the more strict it is

FACT: The more strict a diet is - such as eliminating complete food groups, or eating just one type of food - the less effective the diet will be. It won't take long to become bored with the foods your a "required to eat", and when you feel completely famished, you will eventually break down and put an end to the diet.

Myth # 3: Get rid of ALL your favorite unhealthy foods

FACT: One of the most important dieting basics, and one of the best ways to diet is that it is important to treat yourself to your favorite "bad" foods every now and again - in moderation. You'll be less likely to binge. This is important to keep in mind at all times and is one of the keys to success.

Myth # 4: If I eat late at night, I will gain weight

FACT: Everything else considered, to be completely honest it really doesn't make a difference what time you eat. The only thing that really matters is how many calories you consume. Your body turns extra calories into fat - and eating a light snack such as some crackers with cheese before you call it a night might even help you sleep better.

Myth # 5: I should not even think about eating between meals

FACT: This is dead wrong. Another tip for the best ways to diet - when you eat a small snack that is good for you between meals, you will help keep you blood glucose level stable and your metabolism will be churning at full capacity. This will also prevent you from getting extremely hungry so you will have less of a desire to overeat at your next meal.

Myth # 6: Eating fatty food is bad

FACT: Everyone requires some fat. Not only does fat make food more satisfying and more enjoyable to eat, but some fats are even good for you, like olive oil and fish meals.

Myth # 7: It will help me lose extra weight if I skip meals

FACT: This is a recipe for failure - not only will your metabolism come to a complete stop, but this may actually cause you to gain weight! You could also become malnourished if you don't eat enough throughout the day. You won't lose any weight this way - you will most likely make yourself sick. This is why eating breakfast is so important.

Myth # 8: A healthy diet means I can eat dairy products

FACT: The best way to diet is incorporate all of the food groups into your daily food intake. It is vital to include dairy products into your diet. With so many no-fat and low-fat dairy options at the market, you shouldn't have any problems figuring out what you should include in your diet. Dairy is especially important for women - in fact, research has suggested that consuming dairy products can boost your weight loss efforts.

Myth # 9: If you don't have willpower, you will not succeed

FACT: Don't get me wrong - willpower is a factor when it comes to keeping on track with our diets - but a lot of other things have an effect on our weight including genetics, the environment at home, how much we exercise, etc. Eating a healthy diet and establishing a regular exercise routine will help overcome these things.

Myth # 10: If I drink alot of water, I will lose weight

FACT: If you only drink alot of water, it will not help you lose weight. There is no doubt about it - water is vital to a healthy diet, and drinking enough sure has its benefits, but when people lose weight by drinking water, it is most likely because they are drinking water instead of high calorie sodas and juices.

Weight Loss Tips For Obese Kids

Weight Loss Tips For Obese Kids By Kenneth Snodin

A child who is over weight can find life away from the family environment very difficult. The teasing and name calling can be relentless at school and can cause the child to suffer a great amount of anxiety and low self esteem. As parents, it is our responsibility to ensure that our kids stay as fit and healthy as possible and if a child is overweight we have to act quickly to reverse this growing trend. So how can we achieve this?

1. Take a good look at what the child and indeed the whole family eat on a daily basis and answer these questions TRUTHFULLY.
a. How many takeaways are eaten in a week? b. How many ready meals or fast food meals were consumed in a week? c. How much chocolate and sweets are consumed in a week? d. How many fizzy drinks are drank in a week? e. How many home cooked balanced healthy meals are consumed in a week? f. How many portions of fresh fruit and vegetables were consumed in a week?
Take the time to write these answers on a piece of paper, to enable you to get an overall picture. If the results shock you, it is time for action!

2. Make the change in life style a family one, so that the child does not feel different - clear out the fridge and get rid of any of the offending items mentioned in the list above. If it is not there it can't be eaten
Get back to basics, there are lots of quick, simple meals which can be prepared from raw ingredients. Try to incorporate lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and lean cuts of meat, poultry and fish. Do not cut out any of the food groups as recommended by some diets! Children need the nutrients found in all types of food for growth and development.
Give the child a packed lunch for school, that way you can control what they eat for lunch.

3. As a parent you have to learn how to say NO to your child. Some children will say they are hungry all the time and would eat constantly if you allow it. Ensure that the child has adequate meals and perhaps a healthy snack say a piece of fruit in between but you must stand firm against the constant moans and groans.

4. Encourage your child to get active. A large percentage of children come home from school and sit in front of a computer or games console until bed time. There are lots of clubs and sports activities run by local authorities or groups which you should have access to. Even just getting out for a kick about with a football in the park is a start. Experts recommend that a child should have a minimum of 1 hours exercise per day. You can build up to this with your child over time.

5. Give your child adequate support. Give praise for each positive achievement no matter how small, the child has to develop confidence in themselves and you can help in this way.
Getting a child to lose weight is not always easy and it may be wise to involve your doctor or another health expert for added support and advice.

It is important however to tackle this problem because the long term effects on your child's health can be devastating.

Three Keys to Long Term Weight Management

Three Keys to Long Term Weight Management and Fat Loss Success By Clint Barr

Commercial weight loss centers such as Jenny Craig, LA Weight Loss, and others have blurred the lines of weight loss. In fact, we shouldn't even be calling it weight loss, because the term weight also includes muscle. A better term is fat loss, because that is what we are all trying to lose. Body composition, the percentage of your weight that is fat vs. the percentage of your weight that is lean mass (or everything else that's not fat), is the best measurement tool for calculating a successful weight management program. Commercial weight loss centers measure success by the pounds on a scale, which can be misleading.

The true indicator of weight management is body composition. It is important to think in terms of fat loss as we do with body composition, than in terms of pounds on a scale. When a person loses 20 lbs on a conventional low calorie or restrictive calorie diet it is mostly lean body mass. The loss of this healthy tissue is extremely harmful. It slows down your metabolism, creates hormonal imbalances, compromises the immune system, and upsets the central nervous system.

The human body does not comprehend the concept of dieting; rather it only correctly perceives starvation. The first key to long-term weight management is to understand the difference between weight loss and fat loss. Here are a few facts to help you understand. Fat is stored energy, or your body's reserve fuel tank. However, when your body runs out of fuel on a low-calorie restrictive diet, the body does not tap in to its reserve energy stores. Rather, it quickly and efficiently converts healthy lean mass (muscle) into carbohydrate for the bodies immediate energy needs. Without enough fuel the body will actually feed upon itself, making restrictive, low calorie diets extremely dangerous.

Remember, fat requires oxygen to be burned. The quickest way to get oxygen into the body is by exercising. A fitness professional can help you maximize your body's ability to burn fat. Furthermore, a fitness professional knows that in order to be successful, weight management needs to be customized to each individual.

Personalization is the second key to your weight management success. Everyone is engineered genetically different. We all lead different lifestyles. We all have individual food preferences. In addition, calorie requirements vary from person to person. A fitness professional takes all those things into consideration when designing an effective weight management program.
The third key to weight management success is you. By taking the first step and making a commitment to live a healthier, more active lifestyle, you become the final link to long term weight management and fat loss success.

Avoiding Gastric Bypass Surgery

Avoiding Gastric Bypass Surgery and Still Losing Weight By Kevin Gianni

In this article, Phillip McClusky shares on being life 400 lbs. and what saved him from gastric bypass surgery. Phillip McClusky, who lost 200 lbs. and found health and happiness in a raw food lifestyle. He is the host of Loving Raw.

Phillip: Thank you very much Kevin. I appreciate the opportunity to be on the phone with you and for all of your listeners as well. I'm really excited for tonight's show.

Kevin: Awesome. Well, let's start very simply. Why don't you just start by talking a little bit about what you went through, in your past, before you started to realize that maybe you needed to change.

Phillip: Well, I had been overweight my entire life, so like you had mentioned I grew up being the "cute chubby kid" which everybody liked to pinch my cheeks and such. And then somewhere along elementary school I started to get to be fairly heavy and then junior high school I think it worked into being rather obese. And then high school and after high school I became morbidly obese until finally I reached a point of 400 pounds.

So many people ask me, "How do you get that big?" And the funny thing was is my mom never really had salt or sugar in the house growing up and we didn't have that much junk food to speak of. But a lot of it tended to be really heavy amounts of food, just large, large portions, eating two and three times the amount that everybody else at the table had, going back for seconds and thirds and just really trying to fill some sort of emotional void that was there instead of dealing with it in other ways. It resulted in emotional eating. So that's kind of the start of this and really where it brought me up to was an amazing place. It was very difficult growing up that way.
Many times I didn't even know there was an option. There were times I just resigned to the fact of thinking that I was never going to be in shape and just actually be happy, and just tried to be happy some how, some way, in shape, form, with being overweight. And I actually tried to do that for a couple of months until I really got to the place where I was like, "That's just such a terrible attitude. There's got to be some way..." And I had given up hope. I was researching and just like you mentioned I had tried literally every type of diet known to man. You can mention it and I've tried it, I'm sure. Thirty different diets over the course of the time, even some of the other types of things like hypnotism and guided imagery and water fasting and even tried vegetarian and vegan. And for some reason those things just didn't click in for me, until later on I found raw foods. That discovery really was to be the catalyst to change the rest of my life.
Kevin: So you said that you were about to consider, or you maybe even met with the doctor about bypass surgery. Is that correct?

Phillip: Yeah, what happened is I didn't have any...basically after all these different diets I didn't have any other choice, any other option, I felt, and so I kind of just did what the media was really pushing at the time. And they were really pushing gastric bypass surgery being the only sort of answer for somebody with this type of situation. So literally living and going through all these diets and just feeling hopeless, I thought that that was the only thing for me.
So I went to the hospital and was welcomed in. The surgery was widely accepted and went through literally a month of tests to satisfy my insurance company. Probably eight or nine different tests, sleep apnea, staying in the hospital overnight, heart tests, breathing tests, everything you can think of, to sort of get this approval from my insurance company. And they finally approved it and they said, "Okay, you can have this. We'll pay for it. You can do it anytime you want."

I had been going to some of the support groups and had seen people that had already gotten the surgery and found that some people were having complications and there was a chance that people were dying on the table and were dying later on from complications. Even people that were totally healthy, per say, and stuck on the plan very well were still having some complications. And then I had heard about some people who had literally had the surgery and lost 150-200 pounds and then somehow stretched their stomach and gained it all back, which I didn't even know was possible. Then I actually met a friend's mother who had lost all the weight, gained it back, somehow convinced another doctor to do the surgery a second time, which I hadn't even heard of, lost all the weight and gained it back again. So I kind of felt like this wasn't the answer, but it was the only thing.

As I was about to actually have it done at the very last moment just a still voice inside me said, "Don't do it." And I knew at that moment that there had to be some other option. So that's when I really decided to bypass gastric bypass surgery.

Kevin: Wow. So take me through the thought process here. You tried all these other things, literally a Rolodex of different things that you've done. They haven't worked. So you're faced with bypass surgery, not bypass surgery, oh my gosh...You're faced with this surgery. How did you make a decision to do what you did? And did you know it was going to work?

Phillip: You know, I didn't know raw was going to work per say, but I had to try something. The last thing I was doing was reading some books about water fasting and somebody in the book had mentioned raw foods. I did a seven-day water fast. It was a very nice experience. It was quite successful. But I heard this word "raw food" and I didn't know what that meant. So I Googled it online and just did a little bit of research and ran across this book called "Raw Family" by the Boutenkos. Each one of the four people in the family had a different disease and they all overcame them with raw food. For some reason when I read this, I mean I literally read the book in an hour, and something just resonated in me. I just felt that somehow, some way, this was the ticket for me. This was what was really going to work this time.

I had no reservations. I literally switched overnight from eating heavy amounts of fast food, basically fast food almost every meal, probably anywhere from two to three times the amount of food the average person eats, switched overnight to 100 percent raw foods. I kind of just knew that it would work and I just made the switch, made a commitment. But more than anything I really made a switch in my mindset, I think, which was the thing that really helped me to make this switch. Because it really wasn't so much of a struggle this time around, as so many of the other diets were, it was literally like my mind was like, "Okay, you don't eat this type of food anymore, now you eat this." And so the process and making the choice was quite simple and I really felt deep down inside that this was going to be the answer for me. Basically I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and I had reached my low.

So many people don't make change in their life until they're actually standing in front of their doctor and their doctor says, "Okay, you're dying. You have a year to live. You have to make a choice about your health." Then all of a sudden everybody gets excited and wants to make a change in their life. But for me the day that I stepped on the scale and the needle went to 400, that was kind of like my death sentence. So I knew I had to find something and nothing really felt right, it was just what I was doing with the time.

But when I found out and heard and started reading about this raw food thing it just made sense. There was nobody out to make money off of it. There wasn't any packaged foods I had to make or any cards that I had to move from slot to slot, or any programs or any monthly fees that I had to pay. There was not big mastermind behind this. It was just fruits and vegetables. You could even grow it in your backyard. It seemed simple and it just felt right. And that's when I went for it Kevin.

Another of the good eating tips to lose weight includes not eating any fast foods. Fast foods are loaded with fats, trans fats and sugars. They should not be consumed when you are trying to lose weight. Eat at home or bring your lunch to work or school with you if you want to lose weight.
Fried foods should be forbidden when you want to lose weight. Eating a low fat diet can enable you to take off weight fast. There is controversy over the noted high-protein-no-carbohydrate diet, which permits you to eat any type of proteins as long as you eliminate carbohydrates, and a low fat diet. Both will work to take off weight but the low fat diet is a better diet for long term. Although fried foods taste good, when you use them as part of your diet, you are going to pack on pounds.

Eating tips to lose weight should include eating high proteins, eliminating sugars, eliminating fast foods and fried foods from your diet. If you do this, you will lose the weight you need to lose.

FAD DIETS - WHY THEY ARE BAD

Fad Diets - Why They Are Bad - 3 Reasons Why Your Fad Diet Didn't Work By Janine Michaels

Everyone starts a diet with only the best of intentions. When you chose your last diet, maybe it was one that you've heard a lot of good things about. It worked for these other people, it should work for you, is what you thought. So, you proceeded to throw out your sodas and junk food and start fresh by eating a group of specific foods that the plan promises will help you drop those pounds in no time.
That first day, you're really optimistic. Sure, you can eat only what it says for you to eat and not a bit more! You breeze through that first day with no problem. On the third day of eating this way, you're still hanging in there, but you're feeling a little cranky from not being able to eat that burger you saw your friend eating at lunch. You convince yourself that food shouldn't make you happy - it's all about the calories.
On the fifth day of eating your fad diet food, you're finding it difficult to raise the fork up to your mouth for one more bite of this stuff. You've been daydreaming about all the foods you miss, pizza, fries, burgers, chips, ice cream . . . you know you can't have them, but shoot. Why does dieting have to be so hard?
On day seven, you're so tired, cranky and hungry that you start to hate the sight of that salad sitting in front of you. Yeah, it's healthy, but what you really want is some REAL food. You decide right then and there that you're going to kick this diet thing to the curb and go back to eating normal again.
As you bite into that juicy burger (with all the fixings), you feel good that you're not going to be hungry anymore, but you also feel guilty for abandoning yet another diet that you swore to yourself you'd stay on until you lost X amount of pounds. If only you had more willpower.

What went wrong?

It's not your lack of willpower that derailed you.

Reason #1 - The diet was too strict. Many diets require you to follow a plan of eating only certain foods that fit into the low-fat or low-carb category. Fad diets in particular tend to restrict you to eating a very small group of foods. The plan forces you to eat these foods over and over again, and your body just isn't getting enough nutrition to sustain you for more than a few days. How can you stay positively motivated, when your brain is foggy and you feel weak and cranky?

Reason #2 - Old eating habits are hard to break - Think about it. A diet requires you to go cold turkey from eating anything you like, to following a regimented eating plan. One day you're eating pepperoni pizza, the next day you're eating nothing but salad and nuts. It's hard for your mind to make a mental adjustment that quickly. It's better to gradually introduce healthier foods into your diet. For instance, you can learn how to make a healthy pizza.

Reason #3 - Maybe you haven't committed to making a total lifestyle change when it comes to the foods you eat. Most fad diets are only for the short term. If your intention for going on the diet is to drop 5 - 10 pounds quickly, then you might achieve that goal temporarily, but you aren't learning how to eat better for your health for the long term. Ultimately, this lack of commitment leads to gaining back that 5 - 10 pounds.

Scratching your head wondering what's the difference between diet A, diet B and this new fangled diet you just heard about? Relax and let the best diet reviews online help you figure out which one is right for you.

Lose 10 Pounds in 20 Minutes

WHAT! You thought it was for real!!

There's no quick way to losing weight. You must have patience and plenty of it.

One thing is for sure. It's worth it!!

Is This A Good Idea?

I think this is a great idea if you can face doing it. Either video or just simply photoes. Keep a record of your weight loss as it falls off. It'll not only help to keep you going, but also can be used to help to stop you from re-gaining your weight.

Let Me Tell You A Bit About Myself

Ok. So, I'm 48 and I'm one of the getting rare "still" married women, who is pretty contented with her lot. And this is my favourite colour!
I had 5 years working as a Lecturer for Weight Watchers, which gave me a huge amount of experience in helping all sorts of people to lose weight and also to stay slim. I originally lost weight with them after having my second son and then did it again after my third.
Since leaving, I will admit that my weight has varied. It's hard. As you get older, it gets harder. No doubt about it.
I have 3 adorable sons.
I won't lie.
I would have dearly loved to have had a little girl to play with. I say play with, because I think that is just what I would have done. I used to have a doll, called Belinda, who I loved dearly and thoroughly enjoyed dressing and doing her hair. Had I had a girl, I'm sure that I would have been the same. In fact, if she had turned into a tomboy, I would have had a really hard time dealing with that.
But it wasn't to be. Instead, I had three of the most fabulous boys in the world. I love each one of them individually and adore and idolise them all. I'm extremely lucky to have a loving a close relationship with each of them and I'm even luckier to have raised them to love and honour each other. They are all so different, with their own quirks, but they all have the same deep rooted foundations of a good and caring human being, that I'm proud to be able to say, that my husband and I have instilled in them.
They all have something else in common. Actually, in common with my husband too. They're all SLIM!
I thank God for that, as I'd hate for my kids to have to put up with the same weight problems I have, but it does make it hard.
They have no understanding of what it's like to be overweight. The amount of times my hubby has told me that he "doesn't understand the problem! Stop eating and you'll lose weight!" Couldn't you just kill them!

Eat Eggs

Remember the egg and grapefruit diet? Well, new research shows you could lose 2lb a month just by eating eggs for breakfast. Got to be worth a try!

New research from the Rochester Centre for Obesity in America is now showing that eating eggs for breakfast could help to limit your calorie intake throughout the rest of the day, by more than 400 calories. Going to work on an egg (for those of us old enough to remember the adverts), could be the new way to shift a few pounds.

Either an egg-based breakfast (2 eggs) or a bagel-based breakfast, containing the same amount of calories and almost identical levels of protein was eaten for breakfast by 30 overweight or obese women.
Their eating habits were monitored and it was found that just before lunch, the eggs for breakfast ladies felt less hungry and ate a smaller lunch as a result. Better still, over the next 36 hours, this group, on average, ate 417 calories less than the bagel-eating group.

These results show that you could expect to lose up to 2lb a month, simply by eating eggs for breakfast!

Eggs are packed with a variety of nutrients including protein, zinc, iron and vitamins A, D, E and B12, but contain just 85 calories each. Old advice to limit eggs to just a few each week has also been abandoned. According to the Food Standards Agency, there’s now no limit to the number of eggs you can eat in a week as part of a healthy balanced diet.

My Top Ten Weight Loss Tips

1. I find that a little treat every now and then, maybe one each weekend, keeps me going. If you love your takeaways, then keeping it to once a week is fine. Make it only one treat though and only once a week. It may be a Twix. Thats fine. But keep it for once a week.

2. Keep a true diary of what you eat. Especially the bad days (Yes, there will be some of those!). Keeping an honest diary will help keep you on the right track and also help you to assess where you may be going wrong.

3. Some people put a FAT photo up in the kitchen, but I prefer a photo of when I was slim or a future invitation or holiday pic that I want to aim for. I prefer to be positive, ie, I WILL to look like I did then, or I WILL lose 2 stone by then, rather that I DONT WANT TO look like that.

4. It's important to use scales to guide your portions, or a cup. Once you know that a cup of a certain cerial is such and such a weight, you no longer have to weigh it.

5. Buy a new item of clothing every time you hit a target. Maybe every 10lbs. This will keep you from feeling cumfortable in your clothes. Once old clothes are no longer feelig tight, it's tempting to feel resigned. Keep on top of this.

6. Don't ever panic or give up if you have a bad day. Just put it behind you and start again.

7. No question about it. If you excersice, you'll increase the weight loss. Anything you can do that is more than you did before, will help. Run up and down your stairs 3times. Anything!

8. I'm not a drinker, but I do know that many many people fall fowl to the old booze. Be careful. Alcohol is FULL of calories!

9. Tell EVERYONE that you are trying to lose weight! This will really help and you'll feel too embarrased to give up.

10. Set attainable goals. Don't aim to lose 10lbs in 2 weeks. These are silly goals that the media is full of, but simply aren't acheivable, leaving you feeling like a failure before you've even started. 2lb a week is about average, with the odd week being a little more or less.
